Two working studios, one crew. Here's who's actually behind the camera on your day.
Davone brings more than a decade of production experience to every booking — work spanning Division I collegiate sports broadcast, long-form documentary storytelling, corporate brand campaigns, and live event coverage across Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.
His documentary series Pitt Beyond The Script, produced through Awesome Films in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh for AT&T SportsNet, earned him back-to-back Mid-Atlantic Emmy nominations in 2021 and 2022 — recognition reserved for the region's strongest broadcast storytelling. As founder of Colours Creative ATL, he built the shot-planning, on-site direction, and editing systems that now lead every Golden Hours Atlanta film.
Joshua-John founded Creative Vanguard Photography, an Atlanta-based practice built on editorial, story-driven portraiture and a growing base of loyal clients and referrals.
Beyond the camera, he's the business mind behind the partnership — the one who turns a first conversation into a signed contract, keeps communication tight from inquiry through delivery, and has spent years building the kind of referral network that keeps a photography business full without relying on ad spend. He and Davone have built creative ventures together long before Golden Hours Atlanta, so the trust and shorthand that make a two-person crew feel seamless were already in place before the first booking.
BOTH DIRECTORS SHOOT EVERY BOOKING TOGETHER — NO FREELANCERS, NO SUBCONTRACTED CREW.
